milk for children

The Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre provides one litre of fresh milk for each child ages 17 and under and pregnant and nursing women.

Milk purchase represents a significant cost for the SFBLC. Several fundraisers are held throughout the year to raise money for this program and financial donations are always welcome!

Infant Nutrition

At the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre, we provide emergency nutrition for big and small. We support pregnant and nursing women by providing one litre of fresh milk at each visit. Infant formula is also available on request (unfortunately, we are not always able to meet the specific formula brand request).  We also provide jars of baby food and infant cereals for all children under one year of age.

Breastfeeding provides food security for infants and has many benefits for women and communities.

For more information about breastfeeding you can call the Saskatoon Breastfeeding Centre at 306.655.4806 or visit the Saskatchewan Health Authority website.

We have more resources available for children and infants, such as diapers, baby wipes, and clothing, at our Clothing Depot.
