What we Like to see in Applicants

Little-to-no work history is no problem – this program is made for you! We need people who can be on time and attend every day and must be able to commit to the full 4 months. Good communication skills are very important to us. You must be able to work well independently or on a team, and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment. You must be capable of being on your feet for long durations and able to lift 20 lbs (this applies to placements in Client Services, Warehouse, and Clothing Depot)

Why Take This Program?

You’ll gain valuable work experience in relevant fields of work and you could receive a reference (or two) from staff you work with. You’ll learn from community members and employers on a wide range of topics while being part of an organization that serves the community of Saskatoon. You’ll also have the chance to participate in other SFBLC programs, such as the Volunteer Program, Emergency Nutrition (Emergency Food Hampers), Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, etc.
