We provide 2 to 3 days of emergency food for anyone in Saskatoon and area (a 50 km radius).

To pick up an emergency food basket we ask for identification for each member of your family and something to indicate you are a resident of Saskatoon and area (such as a bill, letter or rent receipt). We understand there are circumstances which make it difficult to provide identification. Please let us know if you are unable to provide identification.

We recommend that you bring your own bags or boxes to transport your groceries.

We are open for basket pick up Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 11:45am and 12:30pm to 3:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 11:45am. We are also closed on weekends and statutory holidays.

For more information about emergency food baskets please contact the Client Services Manager at 306-664-6565, ext 222.

The Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre provides one litre of milk for each child ages 17 and under and pregnant and nursing women.

Milk purchase represents a significant cost for the Food Bank. Several fundraisers are held throughout the year to raise money for this program and financial donations are always welcome!

Infant Nutrition

The Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre supports pregnant and nursing women by providing one litre of milk at each visit. Infant formula is also available on request. Unfortunately we are not always able to meet the specific formula brand request.  We also provide jars of baby food and infant cereals for all children under one year of age.

Diapers, baby wipes and other infant items are available at our Clothing Depot.

Breastfeeding provides food security for infants and has many benefits for women and communities.

For more information about breastfeeding you can call the Saskatoon Breastfeeding Centre at 306-655-4806 or visit the Saskatchewan Health Authority website.
