BLOG: St. Joseph High School Beats Food Drive Record

2018 marks the 9th year students from St. Joseph High School have been collecting donations for the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre!

Every year the students amaze us with their drive and this year was no exception. They collected over 24,000 lbs of food in this year’s Halloweening for Hunger!

Hundreds of students canvassed around 100 routes throughout the city on Halloween to collect non-perishable items for the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre, and even returned to homes the following morning if houses were missed or if families were unable to donate on Halloween.

When asked how the school continues to increase their food drive numbers, Rachelle Kelln (teacher and lead organizer) attributes the success to the student’s ambition and commitment to making a difference.

Look at the impressive amount of donations St. Joseph High School students have collected in the past five years.
