13th Annual Canadian Tire Golf Classic

GolfClassic-LogoFinal-2WEB-01 Help us to provide emergency food to local families, while at the same time supporting the Food Bank’s Learning Centre with counseling, literacy and employment training. All of this is possible by your participation in the 13th Annual Canadian Tire Golf Classic, to be held on June 17th, 2015 at the Willows Golf & Country Club. In the past 12 years, more than $950,00has been raised to help support vulnerable people in our community.

Some of our tournament’s most popular attractions are the on-course events and amazing prizes. The emphasis is always on fun, along with a first class BBQ steak dinner. It all awaits you at the end of the tournament. Following dinner, a silent auction and brief live auction add to the fun and great value. Register early to enjoy this great day of golf, fun and entertainment, all while contributing to your community!

We are pleased to accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, AMEX or personal cheque. A taxable receipt will be issued upon request.  For more information and the opportunity to share in the success of this exciting event, please contact Laurie at Canadian Tire; 306-384-121ext. 188.

Every Plate Full

Thousands of Canadians face hunger every year and food banks across the country are unable to keep up with the demand. Especially in the summer months. This year, we’re facing hunger head on. In 2015, from May 2nd to the 8th, food banks across Canada will come together to participate in the Every Plate Full Food Drive with an inspiring goal: to fill the plates of every hungry Canadian this summer. Through the efforts of local food banks with the support of our national campaign, we are bringing Canada together to make a difference.

  • 918,724 Canadians will access a food bank this summer.
  • 37 percent of those Canadians are children.
  • 26,548,725 meals are needed this summer.
  • None of our neighbours should go hungry this summer.
  • Help us fill every empty plate.

Visit http://everyplatefull.ca/ to find how you can become involved.

Join us on May 2nd – 8th. EPF_PLATE_logo1
