The Arrested Development Team has been busy the past few weeks with thinning (carrots & beets), harvesting (onions and beets) and re-planting (onions and radishes). Luckily the dreaded “W” word (weeding!) hasn’t been too bad in our little plot. We have an awesome hard-working Team and our best junior members were out again last week!
Onion harvest and the first of the beets.
Planting more onion for a second round!
The next beet harvest!
The carrots might be going the way of the garlic . . . not so good. We didn't get thinning quick enough and now the ground is harder and they're packed in so tight we just pull the tops off! Oh well, these little ones will be tasty! Hopefully some have room to grow bigger!
Some of the Team and family members came out last Sunday night to help weed the corn field. Good progress was made but more work needs to be done! Family even came back tonight to continue in the cornfields and Team members put in some extra time around the bean pole.
